Education Programs
School teachers, clubs, scout troops, and home school groups can complete the attached form or call 620-332-2512 to request an education program.
Programs can be created for any topic and amount of time.
Ralph Mitchell Zoo offers school groups a guided tour through the zoo.
- Tours are first come first serve and we limit the number of tours per day.
- Tours are regulated to 30-40 people, or one class.
- Tours typically last about 45 minutes.
If you would like a tour, please fill out the School Field Trip Form, located at the top of this page and at the bottom of the homepage of the Park and Zoo. (Make sure the guided tours box is checked.) You will be contacted to confirm your zoo tour time.
Donkey Walkabouts:
Donkeys are walked periodically when weather and staff availability permits.
Jenny was born at the Ralph Mitchell Zoo in 1986. She loves all visitors but especially children, however, we ask when you come to visit that you do not feed her as she has a health condition.
Donkeys, like all animals, can still be startled. Please do not run or shout when you approach her being walked.
