The Clerk/Treasurer is a new position that brings together two important functions.  This is an exciting opportunity that is responsible for maintaining proper control of all deposited funds and negotiable securities of the city, assists with and updates financial processes related to the general ledger, including preparing and publishing quarterly treasurer’s reports.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining official city records, supervising the issuance of business licenses and permits, overseeing record keeping of official council proceedings, administering official oaths for boards and commissions, and serves as the City’s freedom of information officer and responds to the public requesting records through the Kansas Open Records Act, and managing other special projects as assigned.
