The Independence Police Department (IPD) hosts reserved parking to those qualifying for an IPD Limited Mobility Parking Permit for the Neewollah Grand Parade.
To obtain your permit enter the north doors of City Hall at 811 W. Laurel and ask at the window for your permit. You must present an ADA Placard or other proof of qualification.
Permit holders are required to enter the parade route from the west side of the intersection at 9th and Maple beginning at 7:30 am on Grand Parade Day, Saturday, 10-30-21. Permit holders cannot select a space. Parking escorts will assign permit holders to a reserved spot, first come, first served.
Only those who have reserved a spot will be escorted to the reserved parking area. Reserved parking is limited, and the permit and reservation do not guarantee a spot, so IPD encourages permit holders to arrive early. The IPD Limited Mobility Parking Permit must be displayed when entering the reserved parking area. This permit is issued by IPD and is not honored as parking permit at any other location or event.
