The City of Independence has partnered with CivicPlus® to implement its CivicClerk® agenda and meeting management solution. The City will use the software to streamline the automation of its agenda and meeting minutes management processes and enable convenient access by citizens to public meeting records. CivicClerk also allows Independence City Commissioners and members of other City boards to participate in live meetings remotely anywhere from any Internet-enabled device.

“In today’s environment where we are all more digitally connected and online communication mechanisms are so often necessary, this new system will greatly benefit us in terms of efficiency for staff and accessibility to information for citizens,” said Independence City Manager Kelly Passauer.

With the City’s use of CivicClerk, citizens will benefit from such conveniences as the ability to download PDFs of agendas, meeting minutes, agenda packets and other documents, and a dedicated citizen portal with email subscription capabilities.

“CivicPlus is built on designing innovative solutions for local governments,” said Megan Asikainen, CivicClerk Solution Manager. “We continually invest in our products, such as CivicClerk, to strengthen and transform the way local governments serve and communicate with their citizens. We are proud to partner with the City of Independence to help its leaders accomplish their transparency and document management goals.
