Eisenhower Subdivision: Constructing Single-Family Homes for Sale
The Eisenhower Subdivision is a newly constructed 28 lot subdivision development by the Independence Housing Authority and the City of Independence. The Eisenhower Subdivision development supports the construction of decent, safe, and affordable single-family homes assisting income eligible working families in becoming homeowners.
This program provides an inducement to the homebuyer in an amount established by the Independence Housing Authority and the City of Independence that may include all or part of the lot purchase, sewer, water, and street installations, engineering and platting fees, architectural and construction management advisor costs. The home purchase price is set at the actual cost of the homes vertical construction. In order for the homebuyer to receive the full value of the inducement, the homebuyer shall continue to own and physically occupy the property purchased for a period of seven (7) years from date of closing.
