Minimum Standards for Rental Property Ordinance
The Minimum Standards for Rental Property Ordinance can be found in Chapter 18 of the City Code, Article XI. Registration of Rental Properties
All landlords who own rental property within the City limits must obtain a Landlord Occupation License and register all of their rental properties. An application for the Landlord Occupation License (PDF) is included online. The fee for the license is $30 for the first year and $20 each additional year if renewed on time. All rental properties must meet Section 8, HUD minimum standards with the exception that ventless heaters are allowed as long as they are in compliance with all other City codes.
